The Second Degree
Registration
Registration can be made either via our website www.theseconddegree.com or by sending the registration form by email, post or fax. By registering, the participant implicitly acknowledges and accepts the terms and conditions listed below.
Upon receipt of the registration form, the participant receives a temporary confirmation of registration to be followed by a firm confirmation upon receipt of payment.
If the payment is not made within the specified deadlines, The Second Degree reserve the right to offer the place to another student.
Payment
Payment must be made upon receipt of the confirmation of participation, by bank transfer to our account with The Second Degree, ING BANK IBAN LU 91 0141 8358 2150 0000 (Please specify course title and term (eg Tai Chi, Spring) and students name).
Cancellation
Every client has the right to cancel his or her registration, exclusively in writing. In that case, and if the total sum has been paid, the amount of the cancellation charges is calculated as follows:
- for every cancellation occurring 3 weeks before the start of the course: 30 EUR retained administrative charges;
- for every cancellation occurring 1 week before the start of the course 50 EUR retained as administrative charges;
- for every cancellation occurring 1 day before the start of the course, 80 EUR retained as administrative charges;
The Second Degree does not reimburse any enrolment fee for any cancellation taking place after the start of the course, the participant remaining responsible for the payment of the whole course fee. Non-participation in the course does not confer the right to any reimbursement.
Starting the Course
If the participant cannot attend the first class, The Second Degree must be informed or the place will be given to another participant.
There are no courses during public holidays and school holidays in Luxembourg.
Commitments of the participant
The participant must observe the rules in force in any premises where the course is being held. For any damage incurred to the premises or the course materials, the neglectful person will be held responsible.
The Second Degree has the right to refuse access to a course for a participant whose behaviour prevents the other group members from following the course in a normal way. Any exclusion for disciplinary reasons will be made without reimbursement of the fee.
For the sport activities, the participants must wear the appropriate sports wear.
Responsibility
Whilst The Second Degree and its authorized representatives will exercise due care and attention during the courses, they shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury to person or property while on the course. It also does not take the responsibility either for itself or its partners if its services are cancelled as a result of force majeure, strike or negligence beyond its control.
Photos may be taken during the courses and will be published on our website, unless an expressed objection is presented. They could be used in brochures or catalogues to illustrate our activities unless forbidden by the participant in writing.
